Sýningaropnun í Silkeborg Bad – Exhibition opening in Jutland

Í dag, 6. apríl 2013, opnaði sýningin: hem : HJEM : koti : heim : heima : angerlarsimaffik í Silkeborg Bad á Jótlandi. Þrjátíu og þrír norrænir listamenn sýna þar bókverk undir þemanu: heima, heimili eða heimkynni. Níu ARKIR eiga verk á sýningunni, sem er skipulögð af forkólfum CONTEXT-hópsins í Danmörku. ARKIRNAR eru því miður illa fjarri góðu gamni í Silkeborg, en fylgjast má með framvindu sýningarinnar á heimasíðu CONTEXT-hópsins, sem og opinni FBsíðu hópsins. Sýningin heldur í ferðalag um Norðurlönd og er væntanleg til Íslands í byrjun næsta árs.

Á næstu vikum kynnum við nokkur íslensku verkanna á sýningunni. Fylgist með!

Today, April 6th, 2013, the exhibition: hem : HJEM : koti : heim : heima : angerlarsimaffik opened in Silkeborg Bad in Jutland, Denmark. Thirty-three Nordic artist exhibit artist’s books with the theme: HOME. Nine members of the ARKIR group participate in the exhibition which is organized by the Danish members of the Nordic artist group CONTEXT. Unfortunately ARKIR couldn’t make it to the opening, but one can follow the news, events and remarks at the CONTEXT homepage, as well as the group’s Facebook PageThe exhibition will travel around the Nordic countries and hopefully turn up in Iceland in January 2013. 

We will introduce some of the works by the Icelandic artist on the ARKIR book arts blog, one every week the coming months. So stay tuned!
